The forecasts come form the Population Reference Bureau, a US body which supplies data to governments and institutions around the world.

The predictions suggest that Britain will see its population increase over the next 40 years at a far faster rate than nearly every other European country. The extra 15 million equates to the combined populations of Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool being added to the total national population over the next two generations.

David Cameron urges European Union to drop 'prejudice' against Turkey

UK seeks war crimes law change for Isreali War Criminals

The British government proposed Thursday an amendment to its universal jurisdiction law, which will effectively prevent Israeli leaders from being slapped with war crimes arrest warrants upon arrival in the United Kingdom.

The government is now seeking to change the law so that only the Crown Prosecution Service will now evaluate the merits of any case brought under international law.

Such a change would not mean that Israelis could never be prosecuted in Britain for war crimes under universal jurisdiction – but it would make such a process more difficult and rare.

If the proposal is passed - something which parliament will look at in October and may take many months to go through - it would spell a certain victory for the Israelis, who have been pushing for even more dramatic changes.

Israel’s ambassador to the U.K., Ron Prosor, welcomed the initiative and said it was a “step in the right direction" which would “block the misuse of the system for political purposes”.

Prosor added that if Britain “followed through” and passed the resolution, it would “assist in allowing Britain play an important role in the peace process in the Middle East, something which has been prevented at the moment.”

The British Foreign ministry declined to comment on the matter Wednesday, as the proposal had not yet been brought in front parliament. “Addressing issues around universal jurisdiction remains a priority for this government,” an official there said.

Former British prime minister Gordon Brown announced in March the government's initial plans to stop politically-motivated campaign groups from securing arrest warrants for visiting foreign officials.

Under the current system, British magistrates are obliged to consider an arrest warrant case presented by any individual.

This move follows an uproar last December when Kadima party leader Tzipi Livni canceled a trip to London because a pro-Palestinian group secured an arrest warrant for alleged crimes committed in Gaza. Defense Minister Ehud Barak and former public security minister Avi Dichter faced similar threats prior to their trips to the United Kingdom.

Fighting gangs of Asian youths ruin families' festival in park...

MORE than 15,000 people attended Dewsbury’s Festival in the Park last weekend but the two-day event was marred by violence.

Many parents who were at Crow Nest Park with young children left as fighting broke out on Sunday.

The Press understands that police are investigating a suspected rape after Saturday night’s Magic of Motown concert.

Officers have been interviewing the alleged victim, a 27-year-old woman, who claims she was attacked in woods at around 10.15pm.

The Press also understands that a 16-year-old white youth needed hospital treatment for a broken jaw after white and Asian groups clashed.

A man was also attacked by two others as he watched the show with family and friends.
Parents were left shocked at the violence and one mum, Liz Stead, of Mirfield, said: “Yet again Dewsbury let itself down with the mindless violence that went on during the day.

“At one point there were at least 20 to 30 people fighting in front of the many children, including my own, who made me and many others leave.

“When the band on stage actually stops playing and asks people to stop fighting you know it’s time to go.”

The main concert on Sunday was headlined by chart stars Gabriella Cilmi and Eliza Doolittle but featured local bands including Dewsbury’s Champagne for Enemies, Thornhill rockers Hand Made Hands and Full Girth Explosion.

A mum who asked not to be named, said: “It was disgusting. We’ve had Party in the Park for two years now but this will be all the excuse Kirklees needs to take it back to Huddersfield.
“Why do people behave like this? I didn’t want my children to go.”

It is understood the Saturday concert, attended mainly by older people, passed off peacefully.
But police later received a complaint of rape and the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team was called in and the scene cordoned off.

Police have not revealed further details over the alleged rape but confirmed that two separate fights broke out on Sunday night as the event came to a close.

Police said a 16-year-old boy sustained “minor facial injuries” in one scuffle while another youth, also 16, suffered a hand injury.

Six youths, aged 14 to 17, were arrested for public order offences and were released on bail pending further inquiries.

It is thought that one of the fights was prompted by continuing fall-out from a row at a Dewsbury school last week.

Insp Jenny Thompson, of Dewsbury police, said: “We were prepared for the possibility of trouble and had enough officers to deal with the it.

“The incidents were dealt with quickly.”
A spokesman for Kirklees Council said: “In the main, we consider that the event was a huge success.

“Crowd safety is our absolute priority
“It is, however, extremely disappointing that the behaviour of a small minority of concert-goers made some families feel uncomfortable and prompted them to leave the park.
“We will take these incidents into consideration when planning future activities and events.”

JP is forced to apologise for saying migrant 'abused our hospitality'

A magistrate has been forced to apologise for complaining that a foreign defendant was ‘abusing our hospitality’, it was revealed yesterday.

The JP was punished by senior judges for having 'displayed prejudice' against people who are not British.

A disciplinary board found the magistrate had failed to show ‘the qualities of social awareness and sound judgement’ expected of a court official.

They even considered sacking him from the bench, it was revealed.

Ministers in the Coalition government have previously used similar phrases about foreign criminals abusing British hospitality.

The action against the magistrate brought a wave of protest from MPs and criminal law experts who questioned why the use of such a phrase about a defendant accused of crime was in any way insulting or biased.

There was also criticism of the Office for Judicial Complaints, the organisation led by judges that polices wrongdoing on the bench, for its failure to name the male magistrate or give details of the case for which he was disciplined.

The magistrate was ‘reprimanded’ on the orders of Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge and ordered to ‘ undertake further training’.

He was also removed from a mentoring list of JPs who help to train other magistrates.

In its annual report, the OJC says ‘a judicial office holder had used words in open court with regard to a non-British defendant, that could have been construed as displaying prejudice against them for not being British, including saying, “We take exception to people coming to our shores and abusing our hospitality”.’

Swaggering killer of headteacher Philip Lawrence is free

The killer of headteacher Philip Lawrence is a free man after serving 14 years in jail.

Learco Chindamo, 29, was just 15 when he knifed Mr Lawrence, 48, outside his school in West London in December 1995.

It is believed he was released last Thursday and has been enjoying his freedom by relaxing in the sun and spending time with friends and family.

He has been seen strolling among shoppers on a South London street, stopping at one point to inspect the menu at a cafe. And he was spotted kissing a dark-haired woman on a trip to Camden, North London.

He met the woman at a block of flats and spent two hours with her, her son and an older man, before kissing her goodbye.

South Africa black-owned farms 'failing'

Some 90% of farms redistributed to South Africa's black population from white farmers are not productive, the government has said.

Land reform minister Gugile Nkwinti warned the land might be repossessed if the farms continued to fail.

Almost 60,000 sq km (23,000 sq miles) have been redistributed under policies aimed at benefiting black people who were left impoverished by apartheid.

The land was bought from white farmers who sold up voluntarily.

The BBC's Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg says some black farmers are likely to argue that they have been struggling to get the resources and skills to develop their land.

And repossessing the land would provide a whole new problem for the government, our correspondent says, as any move to return the land to its former white owners is bound to be controversial.

Muslim drivers are forcing blind people and their guide dogs off buses because they consider the animals to be ‘unclean’, it has been revealed. Transport minister Norman Baker has stepped in after complaints from blind people that their dogs were being ejected from public transport on religious grounds. Mr Baker told bus companies that religious objections were not a sufficient reason to eject any passenger with a well-behaved dog. He said: “If dogs are causing a nuisance then the driver has every right to ask the owner to leave. But it is much more questionable to be asked to remove a dog for religious reasons.

It is illegal under disability discrimination laws to refuse a blind person and guide dog on board a bus or in a taxi. But Guide Dogs for the Blind Association said it regularly receives complaints from members about the practice. The National Federation of the Blind said the problem was “common and getting worse”. Its spokesman Jill Allen-King said she had often been left on the kerb by Muslim taxi drivers who had refused to take her dog. She has had similar problems with Muslim bus drivers. She said: “Last year a Muslim taxi driver went mad when I tried to get in with my dog. He said, ‘I have to go home now and wash myself’.”

Illiteracy and the destruction of the English language in London — which is obviously caused by mass immigration — has been blamed on teachers and white people “being indifferent to their children’s education,” a new Tory-sponsored report has said.

The Centre for Policy Studies report, "So Why Can't They Read?",was ordered by Tory London mayor Boris Johnson to report on what he called “an epidemic of illiteracy” and “a serious cause of economic underperformance.” According to the report, which examines why one-third of children have difficulties with reading when they leave London's primary schools at the age of 11, children in inner-city London speak "street", with its own grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Across London, Black and Asian children outnumber White British children by about six to four in state schools, according to a 2008 report. “This language contains a mix of various ethnic influences — Caribbean, Cockney, Afro-American, Indian and others,” the report says.

The rumour had been circulating for years: Geert Wilders is an ‘Indo’ (an Indonesian-European, an ethnic mix that originated when the Dutch colonised Indonesia).

In June a genealogist said he had found several Indonesian ancestors of the populist Dutch politician known for his rabid anti-immigrant and anti-Islam ideas. Now anthropologist Lizzy van Leeuwen describes how his roots can be seen as the driving force behind his outspoken views.

In an article in the left-wing weekly De Groene Amsterdammer Van Leeuwen asks: “Is it possible that the post-colonial and family history have made Wilders what he and his politics are today?” The article is an intellectual attempt to analyse what drives Wilders to say that “all immigration from Islamic countries should be halted” and that “all fundamental problems in the Netherlands are related to immigration”. The conclusion reached by Van Leeuwen is that these statements – plus the fact that he dies his hair peroxide blond – are indeed related to his genealogical link to the largest Islamic country. Geert Wilders’ increasing popularity made his Party for Freedom the second largest Dutch party in European parliament in June. Known for his anti-establishment and anti-immigration politics, Wilders has been calling himself a ‘Dutch freedom fighter’. But given that his mother’s roots lay outside of the Netherlands, Van Leeuwen says a sense of ‘displacedness’ is the recurring, underlying motive in his statements.

The 6-page article reveals that Wilders’ grandmother, Johanna Ording-Meijer, came from an old Jewish-Indonesian family and that Wilders lied about this in his 2008 biography. However, Van Leeuwen, an expert on the position of Indo-Dutch people in the post-colonial age, goes beyond the notion that a politician known for judging others on their ethnic roots can himself be traced to foreign ancestors.

Van Leeuwen went into the national archives to find the sad story of Wilders’ grandfather on his mother’s side. Johan Ording was a regional financial administrator in the Dutch colony who suffered several bankruptcies and was fired while on leave in the Netherlands in 1934. He was reduced to begging when the government refused to give him a pension, but later made it to prison director. Van Leeuwen suggests that Wilders is out to avenge the injustice done to his grandfather.

But more than anything, he was defined by his Indo-roots, she says. Indonesia was a Dutch colony until 1949 and many mixed-race people moved to the Netherlands after the Indonesian independence. Van Leeuwen describes how these people were put in the same ‘cultural minority’ box with labour immigrants from Turkey and Morocco, whom they felt no connection to at all. More so, they had always felt very patriotic about the Netherlands and harboured strong sentiments against Islam, the dominant religion in their motherland.

Van Leeuwen explains how this group has long been part of extreme-right movements (many supported the Dutch Nazi party NSB in Indonesia in the 1930s) while others belonged to the far-right of the right-wing liberal party VVD. She puts Wilders’ statements in the conservative and colonial tradition of this group, which strongly believed in patriotism and “European values”.

Van Leeuwen’s analysis goes beyond the personal level: “The fact that Wilders obviously operates in a post-colonial political dimension, without it being recognised, says a lot about how the Netherlands dealt with, and still deals with the colonial past. Keep quiet, deny, forget and look the other way have been the motto for decades. Because of that, no one could imagine that what happened in Indonesia 50 years ago could still have its impact on modern-day politics.”

And the hair? Van Leeuwen says his died mop is a “political symptom not taken serious enough”. She thinks it was a brilliant move to step away from his Indonesian roots and hide his post-colonial revanchism. Although this may also be an example of his “classic Indo identity alienation.”

Peace protesters camping in Parliament Square are to be evicted from their makeshift 'village'. For nearly three months hundreds of campaigners have turned the green space outside the Houses Of Parliament into a squalid campsite. But yesterday the Court of Appeal ruled they must leave the World Heritage Site, after mayor Boris Johnson applied to have them kicked out. But who were the people involved in the protest? And was it really everything it seemed?

To the casual observer they appear to be a group of hardcore protesters determined to take their campaign against the Afghanistan war to the very heart of the British Government.

But after a fortnight living amongst the mish-mash of tents, protest banners and rainbow peace flags in the shadow of Big Ben, a very different picture emerged.

The initial aim might have been to press for the withdrawal of British troops in Afghanistan, but by the time I arrived the camp had become little more than an al fresco dormitory for drug takers, drunks and the homeless.

Nearly one in five Germans has immigrant background

ALMOST a fifth of all people in Germany now have immigrant roots, according to statistics released in Berlin this week.

Some 16 million people - nearly 20 per cent of the 82 million population - have an immigrant background.

The average German with immigrant heritage is aged roughly 35, male and living in Berlin or the former West Germany, the Federal StatisticsOffice said. Fourteen per cent of them do not have a high school diploma and 48 per cent lack a professional qualification.

The data surprised academics as ordinary Germans still struggle to recognise their land as an immigrant country and tensions with ethnic groups are on the rise.

The bedrock of the German ethnic influx remains the postwar "Gastarbeiter", or guest workers, drafted in from Turkey, Yugoslavia, Italy and other southern lands to fill the manpower gap caused by the deaths of five million Third Reich soldiers and the imprisonment of millions after the Second World War.

A teenager has described how she was "brainwashed" by a 52-year-old chef who sexually abused her and fed her drugs.

The victim, who was 14 at the time, said it "almost destroyed" her life.

Hossein Sabourian, who ran the Mi Casa takeaway in Blackburn, was jailed in December 2009 for engaging in sexual activity with a child and supplying class A drugs.

Lancashire Police's new unit, Operation Cherish, said she is one of 200 victims it has helped in the past year.

Speaking of her ordeal, the girl said it had changed her "as a person" and that she now found it difficult to open up to people or to put her trust in them.

Sabourian's abuse left her in such a state she had even sought relief through self-harm.

Her mother had permitted her to work at Sabourian's takeaway as long as it "didn't interfere with her schoolwork".

Ernst Zundel Released

It's now been 28 hours since that first phone call from Lady Renouf that Ernst was safely in her car and being whisked away - and I have yet to receive even one negative comment via e-mail from our heckling enemies! Overwhelmingly, people all over the world are congratulating Ernst for having stood the course and having stuck to his own principles for Truth in History.

Markus Haverkamp, well-known to many, who reported from inside the Zundel Heresy Trial in Mannheim in 2007, did a brief write-up for alternative media:

This Monday morning, March 1st 2010, Ernst Zundel was released from Mannheim prison after a total of seven years in gaol. Prior to his release the state prosecutor Grossmann had informed the tabloid Bild Zeitung of his release details, whether to proliferate himself, or whether to tempt left-wingers [to cause] trouble - who knows. [Ernst Zundel's] release details had also been made public by the nationalist news magazine Zuerst.

We thus had no idea what was going to be in store for us when we arrived outside the prison shortly before 08.00. In all ca. 30 people arrived to greet Ernst back to public life, amongst them his heroic lawyer Dr. Herbert Schaller who, though in his mid-eighties, made the arduous trip from Vienna, one of [Ernst's] sisters, Richard Edmonds, Michèle Renouf, a few friends from France, Günter Deckert and others. Had he been released on a Friday afternoon, there would have been a far greater turn-out, that's certain. There was only one journalist present, a chap from AP press.

[After we] waited in the chilly weather for over twenty minutes, Ernst was released at 08.15. He looked well, physically stout and strong, and very well fed indeed, wearing a lumberjack shirt and jeans. Ernst proceeded to greet each of us in person. To my shame I must admit that I greeted Ernst with the words: "Herr Zündel, it's great to have you back in freedom" to which he replied, visibly shocked: "You must be joking!" i.e. what freedom?

Next Ernst gave the AP chap a brief interview, the contents of which I was unable to make out.

After half an hour we proceeded to a restaurant that had opened this day specifically for us. Here people sat down, enjoyed a coffee and had a chat, the only person unable to get a rest being Ernst who everybody wanted to speak with. Many of us (Germans) had hoped that Ernst would be willing to give lectures on ecological farming some time in the future, and we were thrilled to find that Ernst is excited about this idea (after all there is more to be rectified in the western world than merely the Holocaust story).

After the lunch that followed, the party began to disperse. We all wish Ernst and Ingrid the best of luck and good fortune, and look forward to meeting up with Ernst soon.

Perhaps I should explain that there was a reason why so few people appeared at the prison gate. The word had been put out that the Antifa - the German counterpart to the violent leftist ARA hoodlums who are so often unleashed on dissident gatherings - was threatening to cause trouble; in fact, Ernst had alerted the Mannheim police of this possibility. Therefore, it seemed prudent stay away so as not to give the Mannheim judiciary cause to arrest Ernst all over again. Luckily, Antifa scum were nowhere to be seen, and a few plain-clothes policemen were courteous and inconspicuous.

Meanwhile, I was half a world away, monitoring my e-mail, wishing I could be in Germany at this historic moment. Globally, it's been a veritable media storm - that much was gratifying. I did a quick Google search on two words, "Zundel released" - Canada listed 121 mainstream media sources; a world-wide count gave a total of 189,000 hits!

The favored title for most Poodle Media articles was a snide "Convicted Holocaust Denier" etc. - which told the world that people get imprisoned in Europe and, especially, in Germany, for Thought Crimes! Donnerwetter! comes to mind. It always leaves me speechless how our enemies do our work for us - to spread the word that censorship in Western countries is tied to the world's Numero Uno taboo!

Remember not all that long ago when the opposition website, Nizkor, claimed that "Ernst Zundel's supporters couldn't fill a phone booth"? One of my webmasters wrote that Zundelsite counts "have gone through the roof!"

I have since talked to Ernst again - a call from his relatives' home where a private welcome party had meanwhile been arranged. He is well and in good spirits, but, in his own words, "suffering from culture shock." Ernst's immediate plans are to restore the homestead that has been in the Zundel family for 400+ years. Ernst himself was born there in 1939 and lived in that old house in abject poverty for the first 19 years of his life. It stood vacant for the past 20 years, and I shudder at the task of restoring it. But his heart has never left the place, and now it looks like he might have his chance to at least make a dent with the help of younger comrades who have already volunteered.

Here he is, hours after he was released, hammer already in hand:

The interlaced questions on many people's mind is: "What's next?" and "How can we reach him - and help?"

The number one priority for Ernst is to get a German passport so he can travel, and we can meet somewhere.

Secondly, he needs to get his driver's license and buy himself a car. As you know, I cannot go to Germany without risking arrest for my Zundelsite work, and he can't leave the EU countries without a passport and a visa. I will keep you updated as we proceed. But my guess is that definite plans cannot be made unless we meet somewhere and strategize.

As to how he can be reached and assisted, it would make sense, for Europeans especially, to assist him with contributions directly so he can take care of whatever financial obligations will come his way. In the Soviet Union in olden days, a family was sent a bill for the bullet used for a loved one's execution. In the so-called "democratic" Bundesrepublik, Ernst has been assessed for the costs of his own trial and incarceration - a hefty 59,000+ Euros (close to US$ 100,000) which he is already paying off in small rates!

And there are going to be other challenges. For now, he does not even have a table and a chair to send his thank you notes, and he does not yet have a computer - or, more importantly, a person to run it for him.

I run a seamless operation here and have for seven years. I sent him already a credit card in my name, and we hold joint bank accounts that he can access as easily as I. Both Ernst and I are frugal people, and we have never argued about money. It could well be that, as he settles down, we'll split our financial supporters, but for now, let's leave things as they are. Finally, two small but telling developments that have nothing to do with Ernst directly but may be indicative of political changes in Europe:

First, the Italian Revisionist, Carlo Mattagno, an impeccable researcher, has compiled an interesting paper that, summarized in his own words, comes to a sensational, documented conclusion that "Elie Wiesel was never imprisoned either at Birkenau or Auschwitz or Monowitz or Buchenwald". (I will send out that research paper and post it on the Zundelsite as soon as I can get my bearings) Imagine the political earthquake if that man would be officially outed as a mega-fraudster we always assumed he might be!

Secondly, a very small notice was sent to me that a German judge has committed suicide by hanging himself on the steps of the Nuremberg Courthouse where the infamous Auschwitz trials soon after Germany's defeat took place! For a giddy moment, I actually thought it might be a judge whom we know who had a hand in railroading Ernst for seven years - but no! This man who decided to suicide himself was only 47 years old, his name and background yet unknown - and this symbolic deed, so far, is still a mystery. I'd appreciate details such as the man's name - and if there exists a suicide note. Who knows what he wanted to say?!

Geert Wilders to spread anti-Muslim movement to UK

Mr Wilders will launch the movement late this year, initially in five countries: the US, Canada, Britain, France and Germany.

"The message, 'stop Islam, defend freedom,' is a message that's not only important for the Netherlands but for the whole free Western world," Mr Wilders said at the Dutch parliament.

Among the group's aims will be outlawing immigration from Islamic countries to the West and a ban on Islamic law.

Starting as a grass-roots movement, he hopes it eventually will produce its own lawmakers or influence other legislators.

Ayhan Tonca, a prominent spokesman for Dutch Muslims, said he feared Mr Wilders' message would fall on fertile ground in much of Europe, where anti-Islam sentiment has been swelling for years.

"So long as things are going badly with the economy, a lot of people always need a scapegoat," Mr Tonca said. "At the moment, that is the Muslims in Western Europe."

Mr Tonca called on "well meaning people in Europe to oppose this."

Mr Wilders has won awards in the Netherlands for his debating skills and regularly stands up for gay and women's rights.

Nigroid Peer being charged with Embezzlement!

A Conservative peer is facing criminal prosecution over his expenses claims.

Lord Taylor of Warwick has been charged with six counts of false accounting in relation to alleged dishonest claims he made for £11,000 in subsistence costs.

Lord Taylor, who became the Conservatives' first black member of the Lords in 1996, has resigned the party whip.

He is the sixth parliamentarian to be charged with alleged fraud in relation to their expenses.

Three former Labour MPs - Eliot Morley, David Chaytor and Jim Devine - current Labour MP Eric Illsley and Conservative peer Lord Hanningfield have also been charged with offences under the Theft Act.

They have all proclaimed their innocence and said they will fight the charges.

Shopping centre bosses approve 'Asian squat toilets' following cultural awareness course

Middle Eastern-style 'squat' toilets are to be fitted in a shopping centre after bosses attended a cultural awareness course.

WCs at Rochdale's Exchange shopping centre will include two Nile pans alongside traditional western toilets when they reopen following a refurbishment.

The pans differ from western toilets as the user is able to squat over them, rather than sitting.

As the violence escalates along our nation`s southern border the National Socialist Movement continues to flex its muscles in a great show of strength. This past week NSM members and supporters put boots to the desert sand in two different states; Arizona and California. These patrols served many purposes and an innumerable amount of objectives were achieved.

Report from California

Report from July 10th through July 11th:

Upon arrival at California`s border members and supporters of the NSM were immediately put to the test. On a hike to find an area to establish a camp we discovered two sets of prints, a cigarette, and beer bottles. We believed the cigarette to have been recently extinguished. It was not brittle from age and had a pungent scent. The bottles did not have sand or dirt caked on them, the labels were not faded, and they had the smell of fresh beer. We sent a comrade to drive the surrounding roads and even the main highway. The evidence we found could have been left hours ago and the the invaders could have been miles away. The prints provided us with the knowledge that they were heading northeast.

Due to the terrain we would loose the prints while tracking the invaders and we would later pick up the tracks again. The rolling hills we find ourselves in at the California border almost provide the invaders safe passage into our nation. We tried to find high hill tops to provide a view of the land below however the invaders could have been behind the next hill a hundred and fifty yards away and we would not have seen them. We had to be careful not to be sky lined.

We had to study the foot prints carefully in areas where we discovered other sets. We questioned if they met with another group however we believed the other footprints to be old and unrelated. We also had to make sure we followed the same set we had been tracking. Repeatedly the foot prints would disappear into rocks or thick vegetation.

After hiking for over an hour over and around the hills we found the same set of prints heading straight south. This was the break we needed. We were able to guide our comrade driving in the area to a nearby dirt road. Once we had collected we made our blitz south leaving one small group behind. The quick rush was in reality a long jog to the border. We were spread out and kept radio contact. When I was about 100 yards from power lines that stretch parallel with the border I heard the code word over the radio that informed us that a comrade had a visual of the invaders. We had a tough hike and there was a lot of radio chatter as our comrade guided us to his position. After we collected we all watched as two young men looked around while crouched down under some brush. They talked and one would occasionally stand and look around. Their actions did not indicate that they were aware of our location. After about half an hour went by they both stood up and walked casually south across the border. They continued south and would appear from time to time as they walked over the hill tops in Mexico. We were able to confirm that the tracks left by the two that fled back into Mexico were the same prints we had been tracking.

They were both well dressed and not prepared for a long trek through the desert. One was wearing a blue baseball cap and they both carried backpacks that appeared to be full. When we were able to speak openly we discussed the events. We believed that although a vehicle is easily seen and heard from miles away and easily avoided while on foot, we made the right decision to send out a vehicle patrol. We believe that they noticed the vehicle driving around the area and decided to retreat south near the border and ultimately leave. We believe the other sets of foot prints we discovered were old and unrelated to the two invaders we had been tracking.

We made our camp in the near vicinity and patrolled many miles of the border. We found an enormous amount of evidence that there had been illegal crossings in the area. The region is a well travelled area. We did not see any Border Patrol in the area other than the helicopter. This area was wide open. Although the Border Patrol uses ground sensors to monitor foot traffic in some areas it did not appear that we triggered any sensors or raised any alarms despite all of our tracking, hiking, and patrolling. The illegal crossing was reported to local authorities.

The weekend patrol was a great success. We turned away two invaders and discovered new paths and roads. The weather was cool and sometimes foggy saving us from the desert sun. There was little light at night and sometimes overcast weather left us with poor visibility which aloud us to try new techniques and equipment. We were also able to start training new supporters. We look forward to future operations in both Arizona and California.

Reports from Arizona

NSM Arizona was able to patrol the border on three different operations in the past two weeks. Wednesday, July 7th, they worked on a Recon mission. Saturday, July 10th, and Sunday, July 11th, they patrolled the border with a different set of objectives. And Wednesday July 14th ST Hughe helped lead a group in a coalition effort which was able to capture 11 illegal aliens. The following are ST Harry Hughes reports.

First Report:

Although today was one of the hottest days of the summer, we decided to conduct an illegal alien/drug smuggler patrol in the Sonoran Desert National Monument. Some would rather sit on the sidelines and wait for cool weather. Others would criticize us, call us names or complain.
We were barely into our patrol when we noticed some suspicious objects along the road. We stopped to investigate and discovered several field improvised shoulder straps made of twine and burlap. Drug mules use these to carry heavy loads of marijuana on their backs. When they reach their destination, they are discarded.

Thirty minutes later, we observed a small group of Hispanic male subjects walking north in a wash. We stopped and they ran like rabbits through the brush. These guys were not crop pickers looking for a better life. They were obviously up to no good.

Further down the wash, we discovered more field improvised shoulder straps and several ski masks. Southern Arizona is not much of a ski area, so it's quite possible, these masks were used for something less legal. I am thinking home invasion or armed robbery.

There's certainly no need to keep your face warm when it's 115 degrees outside.

After circling the area, we continued on with our patrol when it appeared that those guys were not going to come out of the bush anytime soon.

Eventually, we came across an abandoned cattle watering area. Sitting under a water tank, were 11 suspected illegal aliens. They quickly gave themselves up and asked for water. We provided them with water and asked them if anyone needed medical attention.

They told us that their coyote abandoned them out in the desert and that they were out there for eight days. It's possible that their coyote was actually sitting amongst them.

There's no way to be sure. They were still a good days hike from anything resembling civilization and they were completely out of water. Some of them were exhausted from walking and the intense heat. A couple of them had badly blistered feet.

We notified the Pinal County Sheriff's office and the Border Patrol. Being in a remote area, we expected an extend ETA for a response. During the wait, we must have handed out 30-40 20 oz. bottles of water. They drank it all.

Once the Border Patrol agents arrived, the subjects were carefully searched for contraband and taken into custody. Ultimately, they will arrive back in Mexico, re-hydrated, fed and no worse for wear.

One of the subjects said that he wouldn't try crossing over in the summer again. I really don't blame him.

For those of you that call us racists or vigilantes, you can add another name to that list. That name is Humanitarians. When was the last time one of you liberal journalists or keyboard commandos offered up his/her own water to someone he/she particularly didn't like?

Second Report:

On Wednesday, July 7, 2010, A registered Supporter and I embarked on a 17 hour mission to gather intelligence on the Mexican Border between Sasabe and Nogales, AZ. We investigated Nogales, the Pena Blanco National Recreation Area, the California Gulch west of the ghost town, "Ruby" and the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. This covered approximately 45 miles of the border area.

There were multiple Border Patrol checkpoints in and around Nogales and Sasabe, AZ. I made contact with Border Patrol agents on multiple occasions and received some Intel. I was told the smuggling areas became most active at night. Just before sunset, I finally got pulled over by the Border Patrol. They informed me that the route I was traveling on was a known smuggling route. This really wasn't much of a surprise.

Portable towers with remote cameras are located in various places. Each time I approached the border, Border Patrol agents made contact with me. They were friendly. I determined that the area along the border fence is closely watched.

When we approached the Port of Entry at Sasabe, we were asked for "our papers" and then permitted to take photographs. The guards at the border asked us not to take their pictures for security reasons. In Nogales, the port of entry was much busier and the guards didnt' really notice us taking pictures. The area just beyond the gate is a shopping district.

On Saturday, July 10, I met up with a young man from California and conducted an evening and night patrol of the Sonoran Desert National Monument and the Vekol Valley which lies on the Pinal/Maricopa County line. During the last two weeks, nine illegal aliens in distress were rescued from this area. Three bodies were also recovered from the vicinity recently.
It wasn't long before we discovered several water bottles and backpacks within sight of Interstate 8. Illegals drop their gear and put on clean clothes so they may blend in better once they make it to civilization.

We noticed the smell of rotting flesh along Smith Road just south of a donkey rescue ranch, so we dismounted and investigated. We discovered a dead horse lying next to more discarded backpacks. Somebody probably dumped it there.

While just south of Interstate, a helicopter buzzed by and hovered for a while just west of our location. This doesn't normally happen. Eventually, he flew off.

Shortly before sun down, we departed Smith Road and drove to Vekol Road. It rained there the other day, so most of the old tracks were erased. We walked several loops through brush and washes. Just before dark, we walked up on a rattle snake and it took off for cover passing right in front of my feet.

We didn't find any illegal aliens on this patrol, but I did spend quite a bit of time teaching my comrade about how illegal aliens operate once they jump the border. Hopefully, he'll take this information and apply it in his home state while conducting his own patrols in the very near future.

Chicago assault victim returns home to Northern Ireland

Natasha McShane is from Silverbridge in County Armagh

Natasha McShane, the Armagh student who was left in a coma after being beaten with a baseball bat in Chicago, has returned to Northern Ireland.

She was moved to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast last Friday and is said to be making "remarkable progress".

Natasha, 23, from Silverbridge was moved from hospital in Chicago by plane to Dublin and then to Belfast.

She is due to undergo major surgery on her skull later this week.

Her mother and father, Liam and Sheila McShane, and her younger sister, Caitlin, accompanied her on her journey home.

In a statement, her family said: "Encouraged and comforted by her family and friends, we are hopeful that Natasha's progress will soon see her make that final journey back to her home in south Armagh."

The family paid tribute to the people of Chicago and the kindness offered to them.
